Varied electrode center-to-center distance tailors the depth of tissue ablation ensuring a customized treatment independent of endometrial thickness, with a shallower ablation in the cornual area and a deeper ablation in the mid-body.
As the energy travels deeper into the muscle and begins to dehydrate the superficial myometrium beyond the basalis, the electrical resistance continues to grow.
The controller automatically terminates the procedure when an impedance level of 50 ohms is reached, signifying that the proper depth of ablation has been achieved.
